The Air Jordan 13 first debuted in 1997, the penultimate signature used by his Airness while wearing the Chicago Bulls, and its design was largely inspired by Jordan’s “black cat” nickname and his leopard style. Cat references can be seen in the shoe’s claw-shaped midsole, textured leather upper, and “23” cat eye hologram. The entire shoe also pays tribute to the Jordan era and carries the vintage Jumpman logo everywhere. Red embroidery on the tongue and directly above the toe box. Like the original version, the bottom of the outsole has a carbon fiber handle.
